The 2009 Manitoba Marathon: A Timeline
Friday June 12: 220 City of Winnipeg snow fence posts are pounded in along the course. Their purpose: to display many marathon signs that will soon be put up in the wee hours of race morning.

Tuesday June 16th: Charles A. Barbour Arena is awash with sponges, buckets, cups, banners, tables and the hundreds of pieces of equipment that make up the Manitoba Marathon operations.
Thursday June 18th: The Manitoba Marathon Tech Team Assembles. Over 50 coordinators, representing all areas of race operations assemble. The mood is upbeat, yet subdued. The count is up by over 500 people from last year. Consensus: Piece of cake.
